Yesterday I shared this in our PRIVATE Facebook group and I have not stopped talking about it since...
"Last week I was listening to a debate or discussion on the "secret" to creating a good diet between Dr Peter Attia and Dr Layne Norton...and while Dr Norton has been very vocal over the years on the importance of energy balance... calories in vs calories out...well because the math makes sense... something he said was interesting... recently he has discovered how much identity plays a roll in
whether or not the diet will or won't work.
I often talk about the importance of habit forming being more important than calories...and I stumbled on this:
"Once you change a pattern, you will be tested. You will inevitably meet a situation that asks you to revert to the old pattern or implement the new one. If it feels like a test, it’s a good sign! That means your old pattern is no longer automatic.
If it feels like a test, it’s a good sign! It will be hard to make new choices and leave familiar ones behind, but the more you do, the less the old pattern will tempt you."
When it comes to your health and your fitness...Your Goals....
They require and identify shift...
They require you change
Because the thing you are pursuing is a different version of you...and while the old you and the new you are in the same physical bodies...
It's 2 different versions of YOU...
Stop fighting to remain in the old you when you are training to become a new you."
You want RESULTS ...You want Changes....then you will need to change.
This weekend we hosted the 1st Phot Shoot weekend with Team4Ever and this is very similar to what we are talking about with our Metamorphosis Project...
It's an opportunity to work towards something with a deadline and goal date and then show up to enjoy the fruit of the work

This is one of my favorite meals...for Break-Fast or any time of the day...it's actually really good both pre-workout and post workout
So 1st thing is...get rid of the story that some foods are good or bad.
Let's look at fuel for what it really is...FUEL
Regardless of what food you get McDonalds or Whole Foods...it's all fuel
Some more nutrient dense than others...but fuel
For the human body to remain alive, it needs energy. Around 20 percent of the energy we take in is used for brain metabolism. Most of the rest is used in basal metabolism, the energy we need when in a resting state, for functions such as blood circulation, digestion, and breathing
With all of the things we have learned in the modern era...it's 2022, and we know a lot more now than we did 10 years ago, 20 years ago, 30 years ago etc etc...and we are still debating some old school non evidence supported ideas
So, your opinions and bias...are yours and are based on what you have learned growing up...but sorry...what your parents taught you may have been wrong.

WHY do you need protein?
Every cell in the human body contains protein. The basic structure of protein is a chain of amino acids. You need protein in your diet to help your body repair cells and make new ones...It helps build nails, hair, bones and muscles

I think we have so much confusion on what to eat or what to do or what things are when it comes to food, training, calories, carbs, fat...and so much more
So I will be hosting version 2.0 of "Stop The Confusion"...it's a seminar I have hosted in the past, kind of going over some of the basics of food, what to do, or at least what to look at or consider, dismissing some myths, fasting, hormone replacement, good and bad carbs and so much more....
I've done it in person and on Zoom...this one would also be on Zoom.
