I’ll keep this quick…
If you’re over 30 (or 40 or 50), you already know:
What used to work… doesn’t quite hit the same anymore.
Here are 5 things I recommend after 30 to stay lean, healthy, and ahead of the curve (I do all of these myself and with everyone I Coach):
1. Prioritize Protein Like It’s Your Job
You’re losing muscle every decade if you’re not intentional. More muscle = faster metabolism. Aim for 1g per pound of goal body weight daily.
2. Walk 45 Minutes a Day
Not for the calories. For your head. For your recovery. And because it makes everything else easier (hormones, digestion, sleep).
3. Sleep 7-8 Hours, Non-Negotiable
Poor sleep will wreck your hormones, cravings, and recovery. Want to age slower? Sleep better.
4. Lift Heavy (and Smart)
Train for strength. Not just calories burned. Focus on progressive overload with compound movements. Lifting keeps you leaner long term.
5. Take Care of Your Gut
Greens. Probiotics. Water. Digestive enzymes if needed. If your gut isn’t healthy, fat loss gets harder, energy dips, and cravings spike.
