160 lbs and the scale isn't moving - here is what that looks like
Happy Monday Everyone
I don't really like to use the number on the scale as a refence point...because the weight on the scale is relative....
But I do like to use it to TEACH....
If you look at Bri's pictures from June of 2019 (this 1st time she stepped on stage) to July 2020...she lost 2lbs
That's it...2 lbs!!!....By Most Of Your Definition's of A Program Working - this would be a massive FAILURE ;-(
Well thank goodness we do not use Your Definitions
You see, we needed Brianna's body to transform...we used the scale as a data point...not as the way to determine if we are actually getting results
And while the scale shows just 2lbs
The Pictures Don't Lie
So many of you live and die by the scale...and you will see these pictures and come up with 10 reasons why this doesn't apply to you
1st Reason will be her age...well, we don't own a fancy scale and it doesn't ask our age..I weigh myself on it, Lais weighs her self, I use it to weigh kettlebells ...it just measures weight.
You will also say something like her metabolism is young...so it's faster
Well yes and no, but to that I'll add, then why hasn't she lost more weight?
And then I'll add yes, her metabolism is younger and it hasn't had the chance to be ruined with yo-yo dieting mistakes, 27 different half a$$ attempts at dieting and the list of other things older adults have done to themselves
Next your brain won't want to accept that if your body transforms maybe the scale doesn't move because it's your truth
You have told yourself for so long, that, that is what you need, that even if your body did change...the scale not moving would diminish your progress
And NOW we are 14 Days from her getting onstage again and she is as of this morning looking better than she has in any of these pictures and weighs 163 lbs
Focused on her eating and her training....and yes like some of you she has days where the number on the scale gets to her
And maybe unfortunately I don't allow any of those feelings to get in the way of the facts
Her Nutrition is Solid
Her Exercise Routine is Solid (I'm pretty sure she out trains most people)
She is Hydrated
She sleeps adequately
She looks and Feels better every week, every month and every day
Again...your results matter to you, and your goals are yours...you don't need to buy into any of this
and if all you want is for the scale to drop...that is exactly what you should go for
and yes I can help you with that as I have helped hundreds of people do
And yes, when you lose the scale weight you will also realize that is not what you wanted, but we have to get there 1st
And to get there, we have to start your journey.
And I would love to hear that I'm wrong...and that we reached your goal weight and you are happy with it
Either way we need to start and either way the time will pass
Here is another Monday that could pass you by or be the jump start you need
